The second person in turn would respond and this letter would take a few days to get back to the first person. So in effect, a single correspondence would stretch over a week or longer.
Now it's a totally different story. The time needed for the first letter and the response takes only minutes through e-mail. Waiting may make the heart grow fonder but e-mail makes two people get closer faster!

The internet provides for absolute privacy, too. One can carry out communication with another person in the absolute privacy of one's own home whenever one chooses. There is no fear of eavesdropping or overhearing thanks to e-mail and chat facilities.

The internet provides for other options like voice chat or video conferencing. You can see a person, talk to a person, and listen to the person's voice, everything but touch. You can have a comfortable relationship formed before the actual meeting in person.
People around the globe have been successful in finding suitable partners through online dating. Online dating, simply put, is finding a partner with the help of a computer and the internet. The internet allows for unlimited possibilities in communication, and it is this feature that has proved to be very useful for online dating.
People can get to know everything about each other before having an actual meeting. Tastes and preferences, likes and dislikes, interests and goals can all be discussed so that when the meeting actually takes place the two people are not strangers to each other. This is particularly useful to a single mother whose time is very precious.
Economy
All this and more is possible thanks to the internet and the best part is that all this cost very little in comparison to what dates can cost. All you need is a computer and an internet connection to get started. This is also particularly useful to a single mother on a tight budget.
Online dating can save you time and money in another way. If you find you are not interested in the person, you can move on quicker and you haven't invested a lot ot time and money finding that out. If the other person is not interested in you as a single mother, it an easier let down for you.
